With the season finished the friendlies begin. Paul from Penwortham Town duly obliged, our encounters always produce a good game.

Lostock were showing off 5 new players. Lewis up front looks a real prospect and will definatley be an excellent addition, he scored 2 goals today demonstrating his eye for goal. His all round game is very good and looks really assured on the ball. Max and Jonathan played really steady down the left, both look athletic and confident on the ball. After James' inclusion in midfield allowed Lostock to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Good one touch football was on show and this benefited our own players such as Will who managed to get 2 goals himself. Performance of the day belonged to Josh, always looking to be busy and getting on the ball, confident with either foot, linked up well with the lostock players and scored a cracker from just outside the penalty area.

Today I wondered how well the new lads would fit in, well just like a glove which proves the Lostock lads we already have are a great bunch of lads. They could of felt threatened by new players but many saw this as an good opportunity to stake a claim for next years squad.

Man of the match went to Josh for a great debut. Very busy and scoring from midfield is always a bonus.
